The Employment Act 2004, the Labour Institutions Act 2004 and subsequent related rules govern all employment matters in Tanzania.

The Employment Act covers fundamental rights and protection of employees, employment standards, trade unions and employers associations, collective bargaining, strikes and lockouts and dispute resolution.

Dispute resolution comprises the Commission for Mediation and Arbitration (CMA) and the High Court of Tanzania, Labour Division (Labour Court).

We advise our clients on any matter related to employment and employment law and in particular advice on employment contracts, termination and retrenchments, staff policies, guidelines or regulations for implementation at the work place.  We also represent our clients at the CMA or the Labour Court where necessary.
