Frida Teye (based in Dar es Salaam and advises on Tanzanian law) has 17 years experience working in the port industry, specifically Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) working as a lawyer in the Legal and Management Departments. She has been a registered advocate since 1998 dealing with in-house civil litigation, labour dispute, commercial contracts, public procurement, Board of Directors matters and good governance.

Robert Phillips (based in London and advises on English and international law) is a specialist international consultant on PPP infrastructure to VELMA Law. Robert was, until April 2006, a senior partner based in the London office of CMS Cameron McKenna. Since 1983 he has specialised in transactions involving private sector participation with particular emphasis on major infrastructure projects and capital projects in various sectors, including energy and transport.

Peter Long (based in London and advises on English and international law) is a specialist international contracts and construction lawyer with 36 years experience in contract drafting, litigation and arbitration. Peter lives in London and is currently a special consultant on contracts and construction law to VELMA Law.

David Ochieng ACIArb (based in Harare and advises on litigation strategy) is a commercial and general practice barrister based at the Harare Bar in Zimbabwe, and serves as an arbitrator in commercial disputes. He was formerly admitted as an advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and spent a number of years practicing in Dar es Salaam and East Africa. In addition to litigation work, he has experience advising on corporate transactions in Zimbabwe, Tanzania and Kenya, before commencing practice as a barrister in Harare in 2010.
