Electronic evidence in Tanzania

Highlights of Electronic Transactions Act 2015 (which came into effect on 14 August 2015) are: E-evidence is admissible in Tanzanian Courts. Evidential weight of electronic evidence will depend on certain specified criteria (see section 18(2)). Presumption that e-evidence is authentic unless rebutted and the onus of proof lies on the party rebutting.
